MISSION STATEMENT: TO PRESERVE OUR AMERICAN FARMING HERITAGE
The AMERICAN FARM HERITAGE MUSEUM was founded in 2003 by a group of farmers wanting to preserve the early American way of farming, living, and traveling. The museum as it stands today is the home of retired tractors and equipment that got left behind as farmers moved on to bigger and more powerful machinery, a touch of home memories from the toys to the kitchen to the general store and more, an old saw (ran by the tractor belt) in the mill cutting wood to needed sizes, the train that moves around the grounds carrying people of all ages on a joyous ride through the trees and on the flat lands. Invited guest of the AFHM include the Hill's Fort cabin and block house replicas (the first fort in Bond County) and the newest addition - the Armed Forces Museum featuring equipment used in fighting the wars and memorbelia from said wars.

To not lead you astray we are still growing and the displays are not all complete at this time. We try to add a few new displays each year and due to the lack of shed space our tractor displays are not large. But we do have a lot to see, so don't let this keep you away. We hope to be adding some equipment that can sit out in the weather allowing for more displays.
