THIS IS OUR HOME The American Farm Heritage Museum covers 57 acres of park like atmosphere. As of today there are five areas representing the museum. The "Lil" Red Barn Museum, the American Heritage Railroad for a G-16 scale train. A replica of Hills Fort (from 1809) including a block house built by the Hills Fort Organization and the American Heritage Saw Mill and a tractor & equpment display. As you travel down the interstate you will see our entrance. Yes! We are farm history, and so much more!
The American Farm Heritage Museum's purpose is to preserve our rural American history. Starting with hand tools used to farm with thru tractors and equipment of the 1980s. Horses and wagons and carriages turned into trucks and cars. General stores turned into seperate identities. Women went from campfires to wood and then electric stoves; clothing styles changed dramatically; general stores turned into individualized businesses. There will be rooms for selected colletions such as dolls, hats, china, sewing tools, wood carvings, etc. Collections will change; a librairy will be designed for research.

There will also be an organic garden area and fields for growing organic crops. There will be an area for livestock with a barn. A dairy display of the history of milking will be added.
There will be special events held throughout the year and the grounds will be available for rent for activities. As the museum grows and buildings go up activity will be daily.
